Our Story.
Black Onyx Allstars was founded in July 2024 by coaches and co-founders Imani Cobb and Endigo Allen with a vision to create a competitive cheerleading program that builds confident athletes and strong leaders. In just a short time, Black Onyx has grown into a thriving program with three elite teams and over 35 athletes ages 3–17.
Beyond the mat, Black Onyx is committed to developing the whole athlete. Our program provides mentorship, tutoring support, travel experiences, and leadership development to ensure our athletes grow both personally and academically. We have also launched a workforce development pathway, mentoring our teen athletes to become future coaches and leaders within the program.
At Black Onyx Allstars, we are proud to be building a winning program and a supportive community where athletes learn discipline, teamwork, and confidence that will carry them far beyond cheerleading.
Meet Our Coaches.
Meet Our Head Coaches, Coach Imani and Coach Endigo. Long before our journey of becoming coaches, we were competitive cheerleaders for 15+ years! We met in the 1st grade and because of cheer we have become life long friends turned business partners. We are extremely passionate about sisterhood and creating lasting experiences for our cheerleaders. The South-Side of Chicago lacks the opportunity for the youth in our communities to experience Allstar Cheerleading at a professional, safe and winning capacity, we are here to change that!
